Small... but a critical step completed! Today we observed the placement of survey markers, often referred to ask "stakeouts". This process will be repeated several times through the projects as this property has many challenges based on the current topography contours.
The surveyor referred to the construction documents to map certain areas for reference. This will allow the foundation crew to pinpoint exactly where the formwork will be placed.
Because the site requires a significant amount of "cut and fill", the surveyor will need to return several times to ensure the structure is placed as shown in the drawings.
Annual (temporary) rye grass helps retain the sandy loam from run-off. We also find its a somewhat of a courtesy to the neighbors too.
