First day of gypsum started on our Lakeway Lease House project!
With a small crew of six or so, interior work is progress very fast this week. Now that the gypsum wall boards are in place, the interior spaces are starting to really take shape. It's great to see the natural light bouncing off the white surfaces.
With limited windows to the neighboring houses (by request), sunlight is drawn into the high bay spaces, from clearstory and high located windows. As the sun shifts, we also can see a dramatically change or "mood" throughout the day.
The first level concrete floor is also protected, allowing the owner to choose either a polished concrete floor (economical, easy to clean and durable... remember its a lease house!) or engineered wood flooring.
Hopefully texturing starts by the end of the week?
